What should I wear?
Many of our students wear basic activewear clothing like yoga pants. We welcome all of our students to wear the traditional leotard and tights if you would like.

What kind of shoes should I wear?
We recommend wearing socks or ballet slippers, but they are not required.

Do I need prior ballet experience?
No, it is not necessary to have prior ballet experience to join our classes. We teach beginner ballet technique that is broken down in detail prior to each sequence, making this class perfect for students of any level.

What is the different between barre classes and Be Fitness’ adult ballet classes?
Our ballet barre classes focus on traditional ballet barre technique by performing movements such as pliés, rond de jambes, tendus, etc. Unlike barre classes that focus on building strength through small movements, we perform classical ballet techniques and structure the class similar to an adult ballet class.

What are the benefits of ballet?
Ballet helps create long lean muscles by utilizing smaller movements to target many muscle groups at once. It also helps create better posture and discipline by becoming more aware of your body and its movements while keeping proper form.
